Volunteers

We’re so glad that you’re interested in volunteering at Wheeler’s 8th Annual Drumstick Dash! Since 1893, Wheeler Mission has been caring for our community’s most vulnerable citizens – the poor and the homeless. Annually, Wheeler serves more than 265,000 nutritious meals and provides nearly 100,000 overnight stays to homeless men, women, and children. Your participation volunteering for this event will help Wheeler raise much needed funds so we can continue caring for the needy in our community.

We have been blessed with hundreds of volunteers for the Dash, but we are still in need of volunteers in the Course Marshals area!

Areas of Service

Course Marshals: There are 50 marshalling “spots” along the Drumstick Dash course where individuals, friends, and/or families are needed to stand and cheer on participants as they run by and possibly direct traffic. Be creative and make signs to encourage participants, dress up in holiday attire, etc. 7:00AM-10:45AM
