Giving Items to WheelerWheeler accepts donations of clothing and household items as long as they are clean and in good condition. You may drop off your donations at any of nine locations around the city. Click for maps and more details. Wheeler accepts all kinds of large donations, including furniture, appliances, building materials, etc., but most of the time, we ask that you bring the items to us. Click for more details. A large percentage of the food Wheeler serves is donated. As long as the food has been stored properly before we receive it, we can accept any fresh or prepared food. We always need canned goods, pastas, spices, condiments, etc. If you have a car to donate, you've come to the right place. Click to see the details of donating any kind of moving vehicle. Winter Contingency NeedsWe are in desperate need of liquid laundry soap. There are a lot more people staying with us each night due to the cold winter temperatures, which means a lot more laundry to wash. If you can help out, please call 317.635.3575. Thank you! Hebron Center Excercise Equipment NeedsOur Hebron Center residential recovery program is in need of new exercise equipment including: free weights (barbell and plates), dumbells and replacement rods for a Bowflex Home Gym (50, 30, 10, 5 lbs). The men in our program live, work and sleep in the facilities, and maintaining physical health is very important to the holistic approach of our programs. Resources Needed for the Education Center at the Center for Women & Children
Wheeler Mission's Center for Women & Children is in need of gift card donations to McGraw Hill Contemporary, Barnes and Noble, Borders and Amazon.com to purchase books for the Education Center. They are also in need of stamps and envelopes. You can donate these items at 3208 E Michigan Street (formerly Wheeler's Community Center) or any of Wheeler's other drop-off sites. Center for Women & Children Staff Bible StudyBeginning in January, the staff at Wheeler's Center for Women & Children will be doing a Bible study together. They have chosen Henry Blackaby's Experiencing God. Through it, they are hoping to join together and improve their ability to listen to our Lord and serve Him by following His plans.
